WELCOME to the GERMAN PAVILION at Medical Fair India 2014!
India is one of the largest national economies in the world with a lot of potential also in the healthcare sector. Analysts predict an increase of the market volume to more than 50 billion US$ until 2015 – reflecting an annual growth of more than 20 %. Private investors are dominant in the healthcare sector, particularly in urban areas - an estimated 95 % of all new hospital beds created in recent years was established in the private sector. High quality, high tech products are sought after, particularly by facilities run by corporate groups. The most popular ones are Apollo Hospitals and Fortis Healthcare.
These opportunities show, that the market offers a broad range of applications for cutting edge technologies "made in Germany". The increased demand for German expertise becomes apparent in India´s rising imports of German medical technologies.
